Showcase Edible Garden Tour & Potluck Dinner

In memory of Eco-Champion Sally Stovall

Deep Roots Project and Green Community Connections invite the community to see and taste the beauty of this showcase edible garden between 4 and 8 p.m. Sunday, July 21, at the home of Estelle Carol, 323 S. East Ave., Oak Park. Bringing a dish and/or beverage to share is not required but is greatly appreciated.

July 21 Schedule:

• 4 to 6 p.m. showcase garden tours + potluck appetizers
• 6 to 8 p.m. potluck dinner
• 7 p.m. sing along (songs to remember Sally chosen by her children)

This garden is dedicated to Sally Stovall, local eco-champion and co-founder of Green Community Connections, who died suddenly on May 21. To learn more about Sally's wide-ranging environmental work, go here.

Spend the afternoon with the Deep Roots Project as they bring together community leaders, garden experts, local environmental organizations, and a program designed to engage the senses! Come learn, network and celebrate how lawns and landscapes can grow healthy food and be toxin-free!

This family friendly celebration at the Trailside Museum kicks off the first of 10 inspiration edible garden beds awarded by Deep Roots Project and funded by the Entrepreneur Leaders in Philanthropy Fund, a giving group of the Oak Park-River Forest Community Foundation.
