Come learn and celebrate how lawns and landscapes can be toxin-free and grow healthy food for you and others. Each Inspiration Garden provides 25% of their yield to the food insecure.
Please join us for a family-friendly celebration to kick-off our first FREE Inspiration Edible Garden Bed awarded by Deep Roots Project to the Trailside Museum. Spend the afternoon with community leaders, garden experts, local environmental organizations, and a program designed to engage the senses!
This event kicks off the first of 10 Inspiration Edible Garden Beds awarded by Deep Roots Project and funded by the Entrepreneur Leaders in Philanthropy Fund, a giving group of the Oak Park-River Forest Community Foundation.
We owe our children the gift of growing some of their own food and connecting with the earth… Educating ourselves and future generations about sustainable landscaping will help fulfill the new vision for healthy food, healthy garden and healthy planet.” – Rosalind Creasy, author of ‘Edible Landscaping’
