WHY ARE WORMS CASTINGS GREAT SOIL AMENDMENTS?
Worm castings are 100% worm poop. But the nutrient density depends on what the worms eat. Our supplier of worm castings is a farmer in Wisconsin who feeds his worms top quality composted manure (cow and horse). Our worm castings provide a more powerful nutrient boost than most other worm castings. A little goes a very long way.
PLANTING INSTRUCTIONS
Mix compost and worm castings. Start by mixing a batch of half Microbe-Rich Compost and half worm castings. if your raised bed contains conventional soil and not our growing medium use more of the planting mixture in your seedling holes and seed furrows/clusters. Use 1 to 2 cups of mixture per seedling hole. Use roughly same amount in a 6” cluster or 6” furrow of seeds. The more compost and worm castings mixture you add, the healthier and better your plants will grow. Water the growing medium before you place your seeds. Place the seeds about half an inch below the surface and cover them with the compost and worm castings mixture.
