Flexible Payment Options: Place your order online, by phone or email. Pay online via credit card or by check. If you prefer checks mail your payment to: Deep Roots Project, 323 S. East Ave, Oak Park, IL 60302

Quick Turnaround: Once payment is received, we’ll begin building your bed. Most orders are ready in 2-3 weeks. Placing an order in fall for a spring delivery also works well.

Delivery

Delivery Timeline: Beds are built and delivered year-around weather permitting. The maximum wait time is 3 weeks in spring – our busiest season. Customer Support will arrange a delivery date with you by phone or email.

Delivery Area: FREE delivery in the Oak Park area. For other areas, the fee depends on your distance from Oak Park. Contact us for a delivery quote.

No deliveries: Normally, there are no deliveries from December to February if the weather is below freezing.

Our raised beds: Quality you can trust

Durable Cedar Construction: Made from 1-inch-thick Eastern cedar boards, known for their rot resistance and long lifespan. Designed by our in-house engineer, Will Schreiber, with both durability and aesthetics in mind.

Optional Varnishing: Extend the life of your bed with our chemical-free varnishing service. Varnished beds also look great!

Custom & Standard Sizes: Choose from standard sizes or request a custom size tailored to your garden.

What’s Inside: High-Nutrient Compost

Fertility: Our 100% organic microbe and nutrient rich compost provides unparalleled fertility for edible gardens. It is certified by the Organic Materials Research Institute (OMRI) and composed of 20% composted cow manure and 80% plant-based material.

Ideal for growing food: Use our compost as a soil amendment, nutrient-dense mulch, or planting medium for seedlings and seeds. It has a pH of around 7.

Non-edible plants: Some decorative or ornamental plants prefer a lower nutrient content. Some berry plants prefer a low pH compost around 4.5. Learn more in our Soil & Microbe Ecosystem blog category.

• 4 x 8 ft. bed (32 sq ft) with 40 cubic feet of compost – $775

• 4 x 7 ft. bed (28 sq ft) with 35 cubic feet of compost - $700

• 4 x 6 ft. bed (24 sq ft) with 30 cubic feet of compost – $690

• 4 × 5 ft. bed (20 sq ft) with 25 cubic feet of compost – $615

• 4 x 4 ft. bed (16 sq ft) with 20 cubic feet of compost– $540

• 2 x 8 ft. bed (16 sq ft) with 20 cubic feet of compost – $560

• 3 x 8 ft. bed (24 sq ft) with 30 cubic feet of compost – $680
